When adding a batch to stock you MUST select the correct Type of vaccine shown in the drop-down list, so that it matches the manufacturer drug name. This will then record into the patient record as your selected type.

For example COVID: 

• Selecting "Oxford" as the Smart Clinic type, will record it as COVOXFORD in Vision
• Selecting "Pfizer" as the Smart Clinic type, will record it as COVPFIZER in Vision

For example Influenza: 

• Selecting "aQIV" as the Smart Clinic type, will record it as FLUAQIV in Vision
• Selecting "QIVr" as the Smart Clinic type, will record it as FLUQIVR in Vision

Selecting the wrong type would assign the wrong vaccine type description in Vision, which may be needed for future reporting purposes. Although the clinical code and drug name will always be correct based on the information within the batch card. 

Please set the correct Influenza Type when adding drugs to stock:

• aQIV - adjuvanted quadrivalent influenza vaccine 
• QIVc - quadrivalent cell-culture influenza vaccine
• QIVr - quadrivalent recombinant influenza vaccine
• QIVe - quadrivalent influenza egg-culture vaccine

Note: That you must also select the full drug name from the dictionary in the Smart Clinic batch card using the Lookup button for these 2 vaccines.
